Features
What is "Sound Like Me" and how does it work?
"Sound Like Me" applies your saved writing samples to any tool. Upload examples of your reports, feedback or emails - every output that has Sound Like Me switched on will be shaped by your voice. It's optional per tool, and the samples are private to your account. Nothing is used to train AI models.
How does Specification Linking work?
Specification Linking is a school-wide feature that connects your curriculum specifications to TeachGen. Upload your curriculum documents once, then align any resource with a single click when creating content.
No more manual cross-referencing - select your spec and TeachGen handles the rest.

Can I customise the resources TeachGen AI creates?
Yes. Every output is editable - text, formatting, school branding. Your edits and recurring preferences are remembered for next time.
Does TeachGen AI integrate with other platforms?
TeachGen exports to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs and PDF. For schools we also offer SSO integration with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.

Which SSO providers does TeachGen support?
TeachGen supports single sign-on with both Microsoft Entra ID (Microsoft 365 / Office 365) and Google Workspace. Pick whichever your school uses for staff email today - you don't need to switch identity stacks for TeachGen.
Read the SSO setup guide.

How long does SSO setup take?
Microsoft Entra ID: about 20 minutes on the admin's side, then 1–2 working days on ours to complete the configuration.
Google Workspace: usually no setup is required at all - staff just press Sign in with Google. If your school has restricted third-party app access, an allowlist step takes about 5 minutes.

What happens when our Microsoft client secret expires?
Microsoft client secrets expire on the schedule you set when you generated them - for most schools, every 12 months. We recommend setting a calendar reminder 1–2 weeks before expiry to generate a new secret and share it securely with your TeachGen contact. Rotating ahead of expiry avoids any sign-in interruption.
This only applies to the Microsoft Entra ID path. The Google Workspace path has no per-school secret to rotate.
See the renewal section of the Entra runbook.

Do we need Microsoft Entra ID P1 or P2 to use SSO with TeachGen?
No. The base Entra ID tier included with Microsoft 365 covers everything required for the OpenID Connect sign-in flow we use. P1/P2 add features like conditional access and identity governance - useful for your security posture but not required by TeachGen.
Who at our school needs to do the SSO setup?
For Microsoft Entra ID: an Entra admin (typically your IT lead, network manager, or DPO).
For Google Workspace: usually no one. The exception is restricted-mode schools, where a Google Workspace Super Admin needs to allowlist TeachGen - about 5 minutes of work. If your trust has a DPO, give them a heads-up; we'll provide a Data Processing Addendum as part of the school subscription.
