Resetting your TeachGen password

What to do if you sign in with your school's single sign-on, with Google, or with a TeachGen email and password

3 min read For: TeachGen users Updated 21 June 2026

TeachGen signs you in through secure Microsoft Azure AD B2C. Only an email-and-password account has a password that TeachGen manages. If you sign in with Google or with your school's single sign-on, you reset your details with Google or your school - not in TeachGen.

If you're not sure which one applies, start at app.teachgen.ai and use the same route you normally use to sign in.

First

Choose the reset path that matches your sign-in method

If you sign in with your school's single sign-on

Many schools connect TeachGen to their own single sign-on. When you enter your school email address, TeachGen sends you to your school's sign-in page - so your school, not TeachGen, holds your password.

  1. Go to app.teachgen.ai.
  2. Enter your school email address and click Continue.
  3. TeachGen recognises your school domain and routes you to your school's own sign-in page.
  4. If you cannot remember the password, use your school's normal password reset process, or ask your school IT team.

Who can help with school sign-in?

Your school's IT team or identity administrator can reset the password, check whether your account is active, and confirm that your account is allowed to use TeachGen.

If you sign in with Google

If you use the Google button to sign in, your password is managed by Google, not TeachGen.

  1. Go to app.teachgen.ai.
  2. Click Google.
  3. Choose the Google account you use for TeachGen.
  4. If you cannot sign in, use Google's account recovery to reset your Google password, then come back and sign in again.
Success looks like: TeachGen remembers the provider you used most recently, but it never knows or stores your Google password.

If you use a TeachGen email and password

This applies if you created a TeachGen account with an email address and password, rather than using Google or your school sign-in. These accounts are handled by the secure Azure AD B2C sign-in page - the only place TeachGen holds a password.

  1. Go to app.teachgen.ai.
  2. Enter the email address for your TeachGen account and click Continue.
  3. On the secure sign-in page, choose Forgot your password?.
  4. Follow the verification steps sent to your email address.
  5. Set a new password, then return to TeachGen and sign in again.

If your school has since enabled single sign-on

Enter your school email and use your school's sign-in instead of resetting an old TeachGen password. If you have saved resources under the older account, email support and we can check the account mapping.

Troubleshooting

I do not know whether I use SSO, Google, or a TeachGen password

Use the same route you normally use at app.teachgen.ai. If your school has single sign-on, entering your school email sends you to your school's sign-in. If you use Google, click Google. If you created a separate TeachGen password, enter your email, click Continue, and use the forgot-password link.

The wrong Google account opens

Sign out of the unwanted Google account in your browser, or open app.teachgen.ai in a private browsing window and choose the correct account.

My school account says I do not have access

Ask your school IT team to check that your account is active and included in the group allowed to use TeachGen.

I reset my password but still cannot sign in

Wait a few minutes, then try again in a private browsing window. If it still fails, email [email protected] with your email address and the sign-in method you used.
